π What is the METM Aggie Ring Fund?
The METM Aggie Ring Fund is a student- and alumni-led nonprofit dedicated to ensuring that every qualified Texas A&M Master of Engineering in Technical Management (METM) student can receive their Aggie Ring β regardless of financial barriers.
π Who is eligible to receive funding?
Funding is available to current METM students who have met the official Aggie Ring eligibility requirements through Texas A&M University. All applications are reviewed confidentially by the Program Liaison Officer in coordination with elected class officers.
π€ How are funds distributed?
All approved funds are sent directly to the Texas A&M Aggie Ring Program to cover or offset the cost of a studentβs Aggie Ring.
No funds are given directly to students.

METM Aggie Ring Fund Inc. is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization recognized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions are deductible to the extent allowed by law.
π§Ύ Will I receive a receipt for my donation?
Yes. Every donor will receive a written acknowledgment (receipt) that includes our EIN, donation amount, and a statement confirming that no goods or services were provided in exchange for the contribution β allowing you to claim it as a charitable deduction.
π How are recipients chosen?
Applicants are vetted confidentially by the Program Liaison Officer to confirm eligibility and financial need. Final funding allocations are reviewed and approved by elected class officers each year.
π When are funds awarded?
Awards are typically finalized and disbursed each December to ensure timely payment to the Aggie Ring Office before the spring ceremony.

π§ Who manages the METM Aggie Ring Fund?
The Fund is managed by current and former METM students through a collaborative leadership structure that includes:
Elected Class Officers β oversee annual fundraising and approval of awards.
Program Liaison Officer β manages confidential vetting and eligibility.
Student/Alumni Program Administrator β maintains accounts and financial records.
Alumni Advisory Committee β provides mentorship, guidance, and donor engagement support.
πͺ How do I know my donation is being used responsibly?
Transparency is one of our core values. The Fund operates under clear financial and governance procedures, including quarterly financial reporting and end-of-year summaries. 100% of donations are applied toward eligible student ring funding.
βWhy is this not through the existing Foundation?
We are working w/ the faculty and staff of the METM program to eventually be affiliated with / work with the foundation; however, at this time we do not have a mechanism through the foundation where we can ensure that funds collected are directly reserved for METM students. We continue to work with and will update as we move forward.
